Copyright & DMCA Policy

Last updated:

If you hold rights in a document published on Parikshafal and want it removed, this page tells you exactly what to send, where to send it, and what we do when it arrives. We act on valid notices quickly and without argument.

Our position on question papers

Parikshafal hosts previous year examination papers for educational and research use. These documents are created by examination boards, public service commissions and universities, and all rights in them remain with those bodies. We claim no ownership of any paper we host, and we do not sell access to any of them.

We respect the rights of copyright owners, and we would rather remove a document than argue about it. If you hold rights in something published here and want it taken down, we will act on a valid notice.

How to request a removal

Email legal@parikshafal.com (copying contact@parikshafal.com) with the subject line “Copyright removal request” and include all of the following:

  • The full URL of every page on this site carrying the material — one per line.
  • A clear description of the copyrighted work, enough for us to identify it.
  • Evidence of your rights, or of your authority to act for the rights holder.
  • Your name, organisation, postal address, email and phone.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on the rights holder's behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

An incomplete notice slows things down, because we have to write back for the missing detail before we can act.

What happens after you send a notice

  • We acknowledge receipt, normally within 48 hours.
  • Valid notices are actioned within 5 working days; in clear-cut cases we usually remove the material the same day and confirm afterwards.
  • The material is removed from the live site and from our sitemap, and we request removal from search engine caches where that applies.
  • We notify the contributor who submitted the material, where we have their details, and record the removal so the same document is not re-published.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, send a counter-notice to legal@parikshafal.com containing:

  • Your signature, name, address, email and phone number.
  • Identification of the material removed and the URL where it appeared.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
  • Your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts where you are located, and your agreement to accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

We forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant. If they do not pursue the matter, we may restore the material.

Repeat infringers

Contributors whose submissions are repeatedly the subject of valid removal notices are blocked from submitting further material. Everything sent to us is reviewed before publication, and we decline anything we cannot reasonably treat as an examination document made available for educational use.

Corrections and wrong attribution

Not every complaint is a copyright matter. If a paper is filed under the wrong exam, year or board, or an explanation on the site is inaccurate, just email contact@parikshafal.com with the page URL and what is wrong — no formal notice needed. Corrections of this kind are usually made within a day or two. You can also use the contact form.
