Past papers should be free, and easy to find

Parikshafal exists because a student in a district town should have the same access to past papers as a student paying for a coaching institute in a metro. Everything here is free, needs no account, and works on a slow connection.

Why we built this

Previous year papers for Indian state exams are technically public, and practically very hard to find. They sit in PDF archives that go offline, on forum threads that get deleted, and behind sign-up walls on sites that want a phone number before they will show you a question from 2019. Students end up paying for photocopied compilations of documents that were free to begin with.

We started collecting them in 2024, one exam at a time, and putting them somewhere permanent with a sane URL and a download button that just works. There is no login, no OTP, no watermark, and no limit on how many papers you take.

How a paper gets published

  1. 1

    Sourcing

We take papers from official board and commission releases, public archives, and copies sent in by students and teachers.

  2. 2

    Verification

Each paper is checked against the exam name, year, paper code and — where one exists — the official notification, so a paper is never filed under the wrong exam or year.

  3. 3

    Cataloguing

It is tagged with state, exam, class and year, so filtering on the exam page actually returns what you asked for.

  4. 4

    Publishing

The PDF goes live on the exam page and enters the sitemap. If we later find an error, the paper is corrected or withdrawn.

What we will not do

We do not publish a page unless we have something to put on it. States with no papers yet are shown greyed out and marked “coming soon” rather than linked to an empty list, and the quiz section stays empty until quizzes built from real past papers are ready. It is a slower way to grow a site, and it is the only version of this we are willing to run.

We also do not claim to be an examination authority. We publish no results before the official portal does, and every page says plainly that details must be confirmed against the official notification. Where we are unsure about a paper, we leave it off.

How the site is funded

Advertising, and nothing else. Hosting, storage and bandwidth for thousands of PDFs cost money, and ads let us cover that without charging students. Advertisers have no say in what we publish, no access to your personal data through us, and no ability to promote a paper up the page.

What we collect and how ads work is set out in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who runs Parikshafal?

A small independent team of educators and developers based in India. We are not a company acting for any board or commission, and no examination authority sponsors or reviews this site.

How do you make money if everything is free?

Through advertising shown on the pages, and nothing else. There is no subscription, no paid tier and no charge for any download. We do not sell user data, and advertisers have no influence over what we publish.

Where do the question papers come from?

Papers are sourced from official examination board and commission releases, public archives, and copies contributed by students and teachers. Every submission is reviewed before it goes live.

Are the papers genuine?

We check each paper against the exam name, year and paper code before publishing, and remove anything we cannot verify. If you spot an error in a paper, email us and we will correct or withdraw it.

Can I ask for a paper to be removed?

Yes. If you hold rights in a document, email contact@parikshafal.com with the page URL and proof of your rights and we will take it down. The full process is on the Copyright & DMCA page.
